Following their previous collaboration, FOM x Kolisi Mbekweni, Siya Kolisi and Freedom of Movement have teamed up on a new range. A rendition of the iconic South African ‘veli’ is part of a campaign to honor the World Cup-winning Springbok captain’s hometown of Zwaide in the Eastern Cape.

Building on the success of the first veldskoen, launched to help raise funds to build the Mbekweni field, the new FOM x Kolisi Mbekweni range includes the long-awaited black ‘vellie’. A first of its kind for FOM, the launch of the black Veli will be followed by a range of black limited edition luggage and apparel in a campaign in partnership with Zway to fund a sports infrastructure project. Sia Kolisi said: “This is a very personal matter for me. Growing up in Zwei is where all my dreams began.
