MILAN, Sept 24 (Reuters) – Italian luxury label Versace mixed tiaras and studs with its latest womenswear creations at Milan Fashion Week, presenting a “goddess gone grunge” collection for next spring.

Designer Donatella Versace opened the show late Friday with all-black looks, including tight dresses cut at different angles. Black biker jackets and leather pants had fringes or metal studs.

Pink and purple designs followed, with long dresses with deep rubber necks, flared trousers and long zebra chiffon blouses.

“I’ve always loved Rebel. A woman who is confident, smart and a little diva,” Donatella Versace said in the statement.

“She wears leather, sweaters and ripped jeans and has enough attitude to mix them with chiffon, jersey and a tiara! She’s a strong liberated woman, she’s beautiful, you know, she’s the goddess of freedom.”

The final look consisted of short and long lace cut dresses in purple, pink and lime, with matching veils.

American reality television star Paris Hilton closed the show in a short pink crystal mesh bridal gown with lace trim, accompanied by a pink veil and tiara.
