WTTC President and CEO Julia Simpson said: “WTTC welcomes the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act and several business-friendly clean energy tax incentives and expansions.”

“The travel and tourism sector is a catalyst for meaningful climate action and emissions reductions, as evidenced by our Net Zero Roadmap, which supports our sector’s journey to zero travel. This bill will help accelerate our members’ climate commitments through initiatives such as sustainable aviation fuel credits, energy-efficient building reductions, and zero-emission port equipment and technology investments.

“While these are important building blocks for meaningful change, we urge you to continue to put climate change front and center to help protect life on our planet. We urge world leaders to further support the global travel and tourism sector as it continues its journey to net zero.”
