Tetra Tech Inc., a large consulting and engineering service provider based in Pasadena, has expanded its ‘digital water’ practice, which uses technology-based solutions to solve complex water management problems.

The expansion was made possible by the acquisition of The Integration Group of Americas (TIGA) in Houston, Texas, Tetra Tech said in a statement on Thursday.

“The addition of Tiga will enable us to further expand high-quality digital consulting and platform solutions in the water, environment and energy sectors,” said Dan Batrack, chairman and CEO of Tetra Tech.

With this acquisition, Pasadena’s industry leader will be able to acquire software engineers, digital automation instructors and advanced data analytics consultants, Tetra Tech added.

“Digital water” is defined as the use of modern technologies in traditional water supply systems.

“Tetra Tech provides data-based, innovative and scalable solutions to solve complex water management problems,” Tetratech said.

“Tetra Tech’s groundwater recycling and recycling in California and increased supply in drought-prone Central Texas have made these communities more secure supplies.”

“The design of green rainwater infrastructure in Washington, D.C., supports sustainable rainwater management through its first credit marketing program,” Tetratech said.

Pasadena said the company is engaged in real-time monitoring of municipalities using Tetra Tech Delta technologies to reduce sewage and flood hazards.

Tiga President John Miller said Tiga will provide an integrated customer base for Tiga control system integration and digital transformation services.
