Sunday, May 7 was the last time Tennessee lost a softball game. It only took them three games to get out of the Knoxville Regional and two in the Knoxville Super Regional to take down Texas. Neither contest was particularly close in a tournament where the average margin of victory in the NCAA Tournament was 7.2 runs.

Tennessee is without a national championship in its history, looking to capture its first in 2023. It has been to the finals twice, in 2007 Arizona And again in 2013 against Oklahoma. Maybe this year’s team will be able to get the job done completely.

A double-elimination format will take place in Oklahoma City, starting on June 1. The championship series will begin six days later on June 7, where a national champion will be crowned.
