Sources say the so-called “lifestyle” — built on sexual openness, drug experimentation and general promiscuous behavior — is not uncommon among tech executives and entrepreneurs in the Bay Area.

One Silicon Valley insider recalled attending a routine sex act popular among the high-tech crowd. Held in what looked like a typical Bay Area warehouse, what happened there was anything but ordinary.

“Upstairs was a play area with mattresses and towels inside,” the insider told the Post. It was like going to a tech party, except everyone took off their clothes and went upstairs to have sex.

The insider explained that it was a whole new world, at least for the attendees.

“There’s a perception that geeks-turned-millionaires now have something open to them. [opportunities for sex and drugs] In a way that hasn’t happened before,” said the insider. “Most of these people were narcissists.”

Now, the insider added, the once narcissists are “rock stars” in the industry: “When there’s money and access and power, it all comes together.”

In her book “Brotopia: Breaking the Boys’ Club of Silicon Valley,” Emily Chang writes about a circuit of drugs and sex parties that draw high-tech elites — founders and early-stage investors — to mansions and chateaux for bacchanal-worthy activities.

She describes adults who brag about how they “subvert traditional paradigms in their personal lives just as much as they do in the world of technology they buy.”

According to Chang’s book, horror activities often begin in puddles—groups of people huddled together and their inhibitions often loosened by Molly. Eventually, she writes, people split into groups of two or three to do activities in private rooms.

Other parties are not so discerning.

“There is a public exhibition side,” Josh Powers, who runs a San Francisco fetish club called Power Exchange, told the Post. “Attendees can go there with someone else and have other people watch them. Pushing culture in San Francisco is a connection between our real players and technology. We attract people from the world of technology.

Powers says that some parties check for pick-up taxis and who are allowed to participate: “A lot of them have you submit pictures of what you look like and who you are.” Some are level-based, targeting high-level individuals.

One of the sexiest gatherings in tech is a frequent swingers scene known as the Bronze Party—one of the rules of which is that voyeurs must whisper or “never speak.”

Not only does Bronze Party attract people from Silicon Valley, but the enterprise is a product of that world: Ben Fuller, the man behind Bronze, was once a tech entrepreneur himself. According to CNN, he sold his first company for “less than $5 million.”

Fuller did not return calls for comment.

Sources told the Journal that Lee and Kazar were sleeping together, and it was feared that Lee had fallen in with dangerous men.

Nima confronted Lin about the party and his sister’s involvement in the early hours of April 4 when Lee was stabbed multiple times, prosecutors said.

Despite any immorality in the lifestyle, a Silicon Valley insider told the Post there’s a higher calling for the faithful than just raw sex.

For some, “there is a mathematical approach.
