Sequoia-backed Rebel Foods has raised Rs 55 crore ($6.6 million) from Innoven Capital and Trifeca Capital, which invested $12.5 million (Rs 100 crore) each in the company’s previous round of debt in November. This is Rebel Foods’ third debt this year.

A number of other companies such as Attar, Dunzo, Mobikwik and Udan have also joined in the 2010. They raised debt rounds during the ongoing funding summer of 2022.

In its annual funding report, market intelligence firm Tracxn noted that in 2016, 2022 saw a 34% drop in the amount of funding raised by Indian startups, a decline that saw a 45% drop in late-stage investments and also a 38% drop in seed funding.

Mamaearth has filed for an IPO

The first unicorn of 2022 and parent of brands like Mamaerth, The Derma Company and Aqualogica, Honasa Consumers Ltd has filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for the first time. Public Offering (IPO).

Public Show:

  • The amount of the new equity shares is up to 400 crores and the OFS (Offer for Sale) amount is up to 46,819,635 equity shares comprising foreign investors and private shareholders.
  • Honassa plans to use the net proceeds from the IPO to increase advertising goals, build awareness of their brands, establish new product outlets and invest in Blunt’s subsidiary.
  • Mamaearth competes with platforms like Wow Skin Science, Plum, Biotique, The Moms Company, Purple, Nike, and Good Glam Team.
