There are perfectly good celebrity styles, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones that you’ll desperately try to recreate at home. In ‘Great Outfits in Fashion History’, Fashionista editors revisit their all-time favorite outfits.

Lily Collins was (and still is) before she was “Emily in Paris.” of The sense of title style. She has had many memorable outfits, many dating back to the early 2010s. (Remember when Tumblrcore and Alexa Chung Twee trends were at their peak?) In 2013, the then 23-year-old starred in such films as “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” – naturally, this meant that she was acting. Many awards show views.

Aside from Lily Collins’ fashion records, however, her ensemble from the 15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards was too good to pass up: That year, Collins wore a black gown with a Paul gown at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. It features a deep V and a large white bow in the back.

While her now famous Netflix character is known for her experimental (and sometimes controversial) fashion taste, Collins went the exact opposite route on this carpet and kept things classic. Accessories were filtered back – diamond earrings and rings, which allowed her huge bow to make the final statement. She finished off her look with a bright red lip with matching red nails, her bushy brows swept to messy perfection.

The big bow trend has never gone out of style, and with the tiki-tok ballet-core trend (and everything -core, for that matter), the slouchy ribbon is going stronger than ever. Collins clearly agrees: She recently wore a sparkly bow mini dress from Valentino to “Emily in Paris” Season 3 in the French capital.

As a confirmed fan of Balletcore – I even wrote about Hayley Williams’ all-bow outfit in the first few days of her Fashionista career – I believe that bows in particular are meant for fashion greatness. Shop the trend in the gallery below as we preview the latest season of “Emily in Paris.”
