“Like Thursday, we didn’t shoot to our potential from outside today, but we did a good job of getting points in the paint and I’m happy with our overall effort,” said head coach Sam Clayton. “It was good to see Eli have another strong game for us, especially late in the game.”

Tony led the Panthers with 15 points while Mary Liddell played the full 40 minutes and scored 14 points. The Huskies limited DU’s leading scorer, Lily Gustafson, to 10 points and nine rebounds.

Michigan Tech (20-5, 12-3) returns to Houghton to finish the regular season with three home games, starting Thursday at Purdue Northwest at 5:30 p.m. The Panthers (7-17, 1-13) have dropped their seventh straight. The Huskies swept the season series.

MTU stayed in second place in the conference standings after No. 6 Grand Valley State beat Northern Michigan on Saturday.
