Some of us (okay, well, that’s me) can’t eat without ruining clothes, which is why Heinz is releasing a ketchup-stained fashion collection. We were going to pour on it anyway.

The condiment maker has teamed up with Thredup, one of the world’s largest resale platforms, for 157 seconds of streetwear and designer each with their own unique ketchup stain. The Heinz Vintage Drop Collection is exclusively available from the platform, but according to both brands, “it’s not a stain, it’s a statement”. He is the spirit!

“While Heinz is known worldwide for its iconic glass bottle, keystone and slow-flow ketchup, we saw an opportunity to see the stain on clothing as another popular brand symbol and change the narrative from waste to statement,” Alyssa Cicero, Brand Manager, Heinz Brand Communications, said in a press release. “This collection is a lasting celebration of the character that Heinz Ketchup stains add to clothing, inviting our fans to embrace a new iconic symbol.”

The entire collection features durable, one-of-a-kind pieces, which is perfect considering Thredup’s eco-obsessed Gen Z and Millennial fanbase. After all, according to the brand, second-hand clothing is expected to grow by 127 percent by 2026.

“At Thredup, we believe every piece of clothing deserves a second life – even summer barbecue casualties,” said Erin Wallace, VP of Integrated Marketing. “We’re thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like Heinz to create the first ketchup-stained second-hand clothing line. To celebrate recycling, this collection offers a unique way for fashion risk-takers and food lovers to participate in the circular economy, while doing good for people and the planet.” Hopefully it sparks… err… drips!”

Heinz Vintage Drip is made to include size and gender. The collection includes sizes from XXS to XXL. The first drop will launch on August 30th, with the second drop scheduled for September 13th. All proceeds will be donated to Rise Against Hunger.
