Georgia Tech basketball was the presumptive favorite heading into today’s commitment to Cyril Martynov, and the Yellow Jackets confirmed a commitment from their frontcourt player on Thursday.
Martynov narrowed his choices down to four schools, with Wisconsin, Northwestern and Missouri being the other choices. A team in need of more size is reassigning to the class of 2022, which Georgia Tech will welcome.
The Class of 2022 includes Pauls Bagatski for Georgia Tech’s Freds and transfers Javon Franklin from South Alabama and Lance Terry from Gardner Webb. These guys will be competing to take the court for head coach Josh Pastner in what the coaching staff hopes will be a breakout season.
The Class of 2023 currently holds one commitment, four-star shooting guard Blue Cain, who had an impressive summer.
