We’ve reached the mid-season break of this year’s F1 campaign, but host Ed Straw and former F1 technical director Gary Anderson have plenty of juicy technical topics to dig into.
First, they caught the eye at the Hungarian Grand Prix, when Aston Martin Paradigm caught the eye when they revealed their convertible rear wing. Gary Aston comments on why he has taken this development direction and whether it is in line with the spirit of the rules.
The duo discussed Ferrari’s tactical decisions throughout the race and what data the team, especially with rivals Red Bull, seemed to get all the big calls right.
The development progress of the two leading championship players is also discussed in Ed and Gary’s mid-season technical review, which includes how Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes have fared with their cars this year, particularly as they adopt such different design approaches.
