Energy Smart is offering its commercial and industrial customers additional incentives to be more cost-effective on energy efficiency projects.
Business customers are now eligible for up to $200,000 in incentive projects for energy efficient upgrades to their facilities. Projects can include LED lighting, high-efficiency heating, cooling and motors, and ENERGY STAR kitchen appliances.
In addition to the additional project incentives, Energy Smart has raised the annual customer incentive cap to $600,000 for commercial and industrial customers to complete additional energy efficiency projects at their facilities each year.
“Our increase in project and annual customer incentive caps will benefit our commercial customers, especially those looking to undertake large-scale lighting retrofit projects,” said Derek Mills, manager of demand-side management for InterG New Orleans. “Incentive ceilings for lighting projects have quadrupled, meaning lower upfront costs for InterG’s New Orleans commercial customers to invest in LED lighting upgrades. The incentive ceiling for heating and cooling has doubled.
