With no games left until the EuroBasket, Greece coach Dimitris Etoudis is awaiting final news from the team’s doctors on the players he will field for the tournament.

That is why Greece can travel to Italy with 13 or 14 players. “It’s a matter we are looking into, not because I recently proposed extending the list, but because we need to decide on our final list by the deadline,” he said. Etudis said.

However, there is limited hope that Kostas Slokas, Kostas Antetokounmpo, Ioannis Papapetrou and George Papagiannis will be available, giving Greece the best possible roster.

“We have good news, but we’ll see Tuesday’s practice.” Etudes explained. “Papagiannis and Papapetrou feel good and have trained with the rest of the team. Slokas and Antetokounmpo are pushing ahead of schedule, but nothing is certain yet.
