At San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park this weekend, off-the-ground festival goers flooded the grounds to see headliners like SZA, Kali Uchis and Green Day. Most people’s main goal was to see the groups, but it’s also fun to walk around the park seeing lots of… bananas.
Style is a big part of any music festival these days, and although most older patrons will simply throw on the most durable and comfortable sneakers, for many younger audiences choosing an outfit can be more taxing than choosing between SZA and Phoebe Bridges.
Although many who attended Outside Lands 2021, which took place over Halloween weekend, felt a little nostalgic for the lack of costumes, the people watching was just as good in San Francisco as it was making it less difficult to walk the distance between stages. Work and more on its own.
In terms of trends, there were very few cows roaming the grounds this year, with paisley becoming a prominent trend. Wide bell-bottoms were also popular, and on the flip side of the festival, many festival-goers weren’t afraid to go bare-bottomed (which could be uncomfortable as the temperature dropped sharply after dark).
