There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are looks that really stick with you, the ones you desperately try to recreate at home. inThe best clothes in the history of fashion,’ the Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorites.
While the ladies of the beloved sitcom “Friends” are often praised for their unforgettable 1990s fashion (see: Rachel Green’s fashion legacy), there’s one moment that takes the cake for the best: Bella Hadid before she was approved. Whether it’s Chrome Hearts crop tops or artists like Rihanna sporting the brand’s iconic jewelry, none other than Matt LeBlanc has served as one of the main celebrity endorsers of the now-famous fashion company.
The second season of “Friends” cast members appeared at the 1996 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. LeBlanc wore classic black, but with a twist: a custom Chrome Hearts sling—because he didn’t want a broken arm to stop him from being the most style-savvy guy on the carpet.
The statement piece is made entirely of leather and features a custom silver and gold cross at the center. LeBlanc also sported a white dress shirt with Chrome Hearts silver buttons, topping it all off with the brand’s customized sunglasses.

At the time, LeBlanc was telling PEOPLE that the fight scene while filming “Friends” was a mistake — although 25 years later, in a reunion special on HBO, we learned that LeBlanc jumped on a chair and dislocated his shoulder. It prompted the writers to include the injury in most of season three. Not only will the damage follow Joey to the show, but Chrome Hearts will be a staple in his wardrobe for years to come.
