Antonio Vateve’s eponymous label has launched its Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, introducing the designer’s love of iconic figures who have left a mark on his creative history. Titled “The Right of Observation,” the range features artistic motifs from renowned artists Georgia O’Keefe and Christo, which are often seen in Vattev’s works.

Refined menswear is introduced with boldly restrained tones and geometric patterns seen in O’Keefe’s contemporary paintings, while whimsical silhouettes run across shiny velor pullovers and nylon jackets with shimmering details. Additionally, intersecting lines collide on track tops and faded maxi dresses, while angular cutouts in fashionable leather ensembles are paired with strappy tops and jumbo-sized removable hoods.

On the other hand, Christ’s origins are reflected in traditional Bulgarian designs alongside the artist’s trademark wrapping techniques, which adorn nylon raincoats, woolen ensembles and satin belts made to resemble international symbols. Cableknit jackets are matched with wrap skirts, followed by flowing holiday graphics, leather outerwear, leopard print anoraks and knitted balaclavas.
