Glass onion It focuses on the work and mystery-solving skills of detective Benoît Blanc, played by 007 himself, Daniel Craig. In this episode, Blanc follows old friends as they travel to a remote island for what appears to be an over-the-top murder mystery party – until things go awry.
Glass onion It follows a somewhat similar format in terms of plot twists and turns, over-the-top characters, and a murder mystery at the center. The actors in this film not only played their part for the ticket but also looked fantastic doing it. This movie managed to take the movie fashion game up a notch, and each character had their own style to match their unique personality. The remote island setting in Greece and the beautiful modern grounds make for some jaw-dropping outfits. Here’s our ranking of some of Netflix’s best fashion moments Glass onion.
8/8 Beautiful and simple
Proportionality is one thing. The feeling around Peg’s Closet? Applause! Peg, played by Jessica Henwick, is Birdie’s assistant. Glass onion, and like her loud and obnoxious boss, she works hard to keep her peace and keep Birdie’s job. So, a lot on her, over-the-top fashion isn’t really her first act, and it works. The wardrobe behind her was a great visual of how she stood out from the rest of her friend group and honestly, Jane Z’s casual style that can never go wrong.
7/8 Doing more and wearing the little poolside
Fashion can be anything you want. What we define as fashion can change every day. Well, in this case, maybe less! Dave Bautista played Duke. Glass onion, overconfident and an advocate for men’s rights. (Yeah, we know.) However, this huge flaw in his character doesn’t mean he lacks fashion. Duke’s most memorable fashion moment happens when he wears as little clothing as possible without having to change the scale of this film. At the pool, Duke sports a strategically placed little speedo to hold his gun. A pretty incredible but still memorable moment if you ask us.
6/8 Anti-mask chic?
Birdie, played by Kate Hudson, is one of the most “out there” characters in the film. Glass onion. To say that Kana is tone deaf is an understatement. From her carefree history to her mindless use of racial slurs to her inability to empathize with anything outside of her job, it’s no wonder Birdie is spotted wearing a glittering nude mesh mask while on her way to the island. At a time of heightened awareness of Covid-19, her choice of mask was careless and an eyesore. However, this time in the film was definitely a fashion statement.
5/8 Rainbow is your color.
Another Birdie fashion statement is bound to happen in this film. At the dinner in the glass onion, Birdie appeared wearing a wonderful rainbow dress. The dress was long, had a lot of movement, and reflected the colors of the rainbow that you couldn’t miss when you walked into the room. For a character who always wants to be the center of attention, this outfit is the perfect choice for her.
4/8 A related set
A spectacular European vacation seems like an unusual environment for Daniel Craig’s detective Blanc. However, never underestimate a man with a plan. Blank takes this vacation by storm, not just his detective skills. While everyone else is lounging by the pool, Blanc steps out in a blue and white striped ensemble, with a cute little yellow scarf around his neck. Although he maintained his cool, calm and collected demeanor behind the sunglasses, his off-color humor added much-needed fun and charm to the character’s overall look.
3/8 Dressed for the occasion
Even in today’s popular media, men’s fashion is often criticized as monotonous, repetitive and boring. However, we cannot ignore men’s fashion. Glass onion. Lionel’s (Leslie Odom Jr.) dinner suit is definitely a standout. That whole sequence of events gave all of us fans some pretty cool fashion moments. However, there was something about that dark green suit and hat that made us all draw in a different direction.
2/8 Revenge suit time
Fashion came easy to the character of Janelle Monáe Glass onion. In almost every scene she’s in, she steals with just her clothes on. They were the perfect blend of sophisticated, rich and effortless. When she entered the slot in a jaw-dropping dress, the entire cast was awestruck and speechless. This is the perfect revenge outfit for when you show up unexpectedly at your husband’s party. All eyes were on her, and for good reason.
1/8 Power suit
Making a statement with your fashion is a great way to get your point across. When Janelle Monáe played Andy Brand, we were in for a shock. We knew she meant business when she stepped out in a gorgeous all-white power suit. This outfit was perfect for all the mayhem at the end. Glass onion. Monae never disappoints when she’s on screen. However, this dress should be the most memorable of her character. Also, how could it look better with blood stains on it?
