When Lila asked her mother if she should wear something that covered her breasts with nipples, her mother had a nipple-free response. “Never wear a pasty! That’s my advice to the younger generation,” she says. Lila prefers to hide her nipples from the world, a mother who wants her daughter to have real freedom in her choice of clothing. “I think everyone is afraid to be themselves and they should dress the way they want,” explains Kate.
Kate is making sure there’s no pressure on Lila’s end when it comes to her career choices, she’s here to give guidance on whether she should continue modeling or pursue something else. “It’s her business. I leave it to her,” said Kate People. “Obviously I’ll support her. I’ll be her leader! If she wants to, she can. I’ll support her in whatever she wants.” Lila is lucky to have a mom who has her back – on and off the runway.
