The National Park Service announced Saturday that Yosemite National Park is closed through Wednesday as severe winter conditions limit travel in the Sierra Nevada.
Travel on all park roads is limited to management traffic, the park service said. Travel and road closure information is available here.
The winter storm that made it to the Gulf on Thursday and Friday added to this year’s Sierra snowpack.
UC Berkeley’s Central Sierra Snow Lab, a research station on Donner Summit; He tweeted. In general, the winter season recorded 120% of the average snowfall and 176% of the normal snowfall in this year.

Yosemite is known for its beautiful waterfalls, ancient sequoia trees, and impressive granite crags like Half Dome and El Capitan, and this week a large rock formation is closed.
The national park was closed for eight days in September 2020 due to unhealthy air quality due to smoke from the Creek Fire, 25 miles south of Yosemite Valley.
