Carlos Avila Gonzalez/The ChronicleThe National Park Service announced Saturday that Yosemite National Park is closed through Wednesday as severe winter conditions limit travel in the Sierra Nevada.
Travel on all park roads is limited to management traffic, the park service said. Travel and road closure information is available here.
The winter storm that made it to the Gulf on Thursday and Friday added to this year’s Sierra snowpack.
UC Berkeley’s Central Sierra Snow Lab, a research station on Donner Summit; He tweeted. In general, the winter season recorded 120% of the average snowfall and 176% of the normal snowfall in this year.
