In August, Susan Marsnik, Dale Thompson and Susan Supina were honored at the Opus College of Business Academy of Legal Studies annual meeting in Louisville. Each year, the Academy’s Journal of Higher Pedagogy selects one article published in the previous year to receive the Hober Memorial Award for Excellence in Research. This year, the Journal of Legal Studies gave this honor to a trio from the Ethics and Business Law Department called “O Natural! Health and Beauty: An Integrated Law, Ethics and Strategy Case for the First Day of School.

Among three faculty members from the Opus College of Business, they received the prestigious Hober Memorial Award for excellence in research.

This article is the second in a series of articles published by this author trio in 2022. “Contract Practices in the Age of Snapchat” appeared in the Journal of Business Law and Education. This is the second Hober Memorial Award presented to members of the department in the past decade. In the year In 2013, Professors Marsnick and Thompson won the Hober for “developing critical thinking and strategic business skills using contract negotiation exercises.”

Opus College is the only business college in the five-state area that offers an undergraduate degree in law to meet the growing compliance needs of business. The Faculty of Ethics and Business Law is nationally recognized for its programming and educational innovations.
