“Beach weddings are evil,” complained a friend of mine recently. “It’s always windy, and they ruin your shoes.” I’ve never personally been to a beach wedding before, but they look beautiful from a distance. Who doesn’t want to be at the beach? But I think it’s probably the most unusual place to find yourself in formal clothes. Another friend of mine attending one in August had the same anxiety. She was worried about being hot and sandy; She wondered if the setting would allow for a more casual dress code; And at the end of the day, she has nothing to wear.
When I started asking around, linen and silk slip dresses came up as common, obvious suggestions. Also flat shoes. In the past week, I’ve seen both Bella Hadid and Elsa Hosk wear this brand, which makes you look like a mermaid going to prom. So if you wear it, it will officially become a trend. Available in sizes XS to L.
