Dark Souls is serious business. Unless otherwise. A game of cursed undead pits, the end of ages, cycles of death and rebirth? It’s a game where half the players run around with no clothes on, swinging oversized weapons, and the other half collect all the weapons they can find and turn them into portable trash cans.
That’s why for Fashion Souls, a game-within-a-game-players ignore weapon stats to create stylish outfits. Raids should not sneak into another player’s game to kill them from behind. It could be to show how beautiful you are. The age of fire is temporary. The stain is forever.
The classic fashion police took this to the next level by judging the style of the players they raided, rewarding them with items or punishing them with death for their fashion crimes. There are many ways to kick the bucket in Dark Souls, but being stabbed by someone in an amazing butterfly collection has to be up there. Although some may think they are nothing but a legend, we tracked down one fashion police.

In chapter 1 of Angwen’s story, also known as the Terror of Mintel Harbor. Angwe was World of Warcraft’s infamous serial killer: an unstoppable bandit who became a stage legend for months of banditry.
In Episode 2, we meet the Fuel Rats, Elite Dangerous players who help out pilots who run out of gas in the dark. And considering that the Milky Way is set 100,000 light years away, the darkness in Elite Dangerous will be deep.
In Episode 3, we talked to Dr. Wasteland, the legendary hero healer from the early days of DayZ, proving that even a grim post-apocalyptic life sim had room for altruism.
In Part 4 we covered World of Warcraft’s Corrupted Blood Plague, we spoke to a former Blizzard raid designer and one of the many players who were on the ground when the plague hit Azeroth. We also spoke to an epidemiologist who had some interesting things to say about the real-world parallels of the plague.
In Episode 5, we uncover Eve’s 16-month undercover scam that led to the loss of an expensive ship—and a broken heart.
