Pernod Ricard Travel Retail, Current Builders, Other | Waterford Business District | Miami-Dade County
Nuveen Real Estate and Allianz Real Estate have signed six new leases and an expansion for an existing tenant in the Waterford Business District near Miami International Airport.
Pernod Ricard Travel Retail, the division of the spirits company that produces Chivas Regal whiskey and Perrier-Jout champagne, took 9,500 square feet. General contractor Current Builders took 3,000 square feet; And logistics company Southeast Management has taken 7,900 square feet, according to news from the owners and their broker.
In other deals, digital marketing firm Akiu is moving from Miami’s Little River neighborhood to Waterford. E & Q Floors from Medley; and electronics company Rohde & Schwarz from Doral.
Swiss watch and jewelry manufacturer Swatch Group has expanded its footprint, leasing 26,000 square feet in Waterford this spring.
Juan Ruiz and Andres del Corral led Blanca’s commercial real estate team, which represented Nuvin and Allianz. The brokerage is led by founder and CEO Terre Blanca.

After completing $21 million in renovations over the past two years, the duo has announced $8 million in capital improvements this year.
Other tenants in Waterford include the offices of Toyota, FedEx, Atkins, Sony, Gilead, Novartis and sandwich-shop chain Subway Corporation.

The Consulate General of Guatemala is moving from Brickell to Coral Gables.
The Consulate has leased more than 5,000 square feet at 999 Ponce de Leon Boulevard for a 10-year term, according to news from a leasing broker, moving from its 25-year home at 1101 Brickell Avenue.
Lourdes Cuza of Kerdick Real Estate represented the consulate, while John O’Neil of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, 999 Ponce LLC, which is managed by Xavier and Vanessa Rosales and Martha Fernandez, records show. They bought the building in 2005 for $20.9 million.
Conversion Media Group | Headquarters Park | Lauderdale Lakes
Content marketing agency Conversion Media Group is opening an office in Lake Lauderdale’s Main Office Park.
The firm has signed a five-year, 9,000-square-foot lease for a three-story building in the main office complex at 4410 North State Road 7, according to a news release from the landlord’s broker.
Donna Korn and Beau Ladvig of Cushman & Wakefield represented the owner.
YMP Real Estate Management, led by Chairman Moshe Popak. Matt Avelar of Warehouse Realty represented the tenant.
Driving Brands | Doral
The parent company of several auto repair, maintenance and distribution brands has leased the Doral space where the car wash is planned.
Charlotte, North Carolina-based Drain Brands has leased 0.7 acres at 1350 Northwest 87th Avenue to develop a Ty 5 car wash, according to news from the landlord’s broker. The land is owned by the Lapsiuk Group, led by the Lapsiuk family, state records show.
Patriarch Israel Lapsyuk is a Holocaust survivor who started a textile business in Colombia and then an electronics consignment trading business in South Florida.
The property is now home to a former Taco Bell slated for demolition.
The project will mark the first South Florida location for any of the designed brands’ car washes, according to the release. In addition to owning Take 5 Car Wash, Driven Brands’ other subsidiaries include GooGoo Express Car Wash, Supersonic Car Wash and Frank’s Car Wash, according to its website. Its other brands include Take 5 Oil Change, body shop Mako and automotive repair chain Meineke.
Azor Advisory Services represented the landlord, while Shopping Center Group’s Brian Featherston represented the tenant.
