Tiny handbags be damned – this season is all about bold totes that you can carry your whole life. And as someone whose closet is full of clutches, body bags, and many other compact purses, I have them. so true Mixed feelings about the trend. But if there was ever a brand that could sway my handbag allegiance, I knew it would be Kuyana – the luxury and ethical brand behind some of today’s glitziest fashion essentials.

Honestly, I’ve had my eye on Kuyana’s chic tote offerings for a while (thanks Meghan Markle for that!) Naturally, when I heard that Kuyana was planning a major overhaul of her handbag and tote stock, my interest was immediately piqued. After all, this was a brand loved (and worn religiously) by royalty and celebrities alike – Jessica Alba and Angelina Jolie, among many others. Any update to the collection will have to compete with some of the designer’s favorite styles, such as the (now defunct) classic structured leather tote, with some of Kwannan’s reputation for timeless elegance.

Luckily, I was lucky enough to take Kuyana’s newest bag style, the Easy Tote, for a test drive before the product debut. I’ll admit it: even as a fan of the brand, I was wary of whether the style would fit in with the luxe designer’s other, more mainstream bags. But so far, Kuyana’s new Simple Tote has managed to do the impossible – make a loyal confidant out of the staunchest mini-bag in me. The bag (available to shop today!) has been my greatest companion these past few weeks—and I have a feeling it’s going to be my long haul until fall. Read my honest review of Kuyana’s new Simple Tote style.

What I love about the Kuyana Simple Tote

Even the first time you put it on, you can tell that the tote is built to last – a theme that’s consistent with many of Cuyana’s product collections. The bag is made from lightweight pebbled Italian leather and is designed to soften with every outfit – creating a stylish and comfortable style that’s perfect for long-term use.

The tote is incredibly lightweight – so much so that the brand has marketed it as “the lightest bag ever”. As someone had some time to take the product to spin, I can confirm: there will be a really airy noise. I’m famous for carrying a lot of things with me wherever I go – to the gym, the airport, the office and beyond, I always carry a lot of my daily essentials. As a result, I’ve historically had to rely on bulky, heavy, and downright uncomfortable toques to keep my entire handbag organized. But thanks to the Kuyana Easy Tote, I get room for a deep, chunky tote without the hassle or added weight. I suspect this is due in part to the tote’s minimalist design (another bonus, IMO), which avoids clicky bag buffers like synthetic linings or bulky hardware.

More than anything, I love the timeless Kuyana Simple Tote. The relaxed style boasts a simple, elegant and most importantly a subtle squishy, airy feel. Statement handbags and purses may be popular right now, but like most trends, it’s hard to predict whether or not they’ll continue to be relevant next season. With the muted design of the Cuyana Easy Tote, I have no doubt that the bag will be a sophisticated and polished staple in my closet for years to come.

Something to note

The tote features a dual-handbag design, which aims to create a more streamlined look, allowing users to easily switch between carrying the bag by hand or over the shoulder. When I initially chose to carry the bag over my shoulder, I was concerned that the short straps might look messy or feel suffocating on my hands. Fortunately, the straps are flexible and can be easily pushed into the container when necessary, all without causing damage or cracking. When I wasn’t immediately Sold on the strap design, I’ve come to see the appeal – especially as having two bags in one.

Another thing to note is the small storage units. The tote features a single large hanging wall pocket on the inside, which is great for holding your phone, card holder, or go-to lipstick or other valuables you may need close at hand. Personally, I don’t mind that the bag only has one storage pocket – when it comes to toques, the simpler the design, the better! That being said, if you’re someone who relies on having extra structure or organized spaces in your bag, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Who is the Cuyana Easy Tote best for?

Some people begin a new chapter in their lives with a new hairstyle or other major investment. Others celebrate by splurging on a new Kuyana handbag. I, like many fans of the luxury brand, prefer the latter – which is why I’d say this Kuyana tote is perfect for anyone looking for a timeless bag that can take on any season.

Deep Style has plenty of interior space to hold everything from a school binder and work laptop to a reusable water bottle, wallet or card holder, travel beauty bag, a pair of sunglasses and more (even at once!). .

Whether you’re a graduate student looking for a stylish bag for school, a practical tote for getting to and from the office, or someone looking to add a more casual style to your outfit, Simple Tote includes the perfect, go-anywhere bag to help you feel organized and supported in any season.
