Air travel agreement of Viatravel Airlines

Awarded for the first time on September 8, VietTravel announced a new investment and development agreement for cargo air services across Vietnam, called VUAir Cargo.

Alongside Asean Cargo Gateway (ACG) and VietTravel with a 51% – 41% investment contribution ratio, both companies will promote the cargo aviation industry throughout Vietnam under this new agreement.

VUAir Cargo mainly focuses on air cargo transportation between Vietnam and large factories located throughout Asia, namely China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

VUAir Cargo will operate a Boeing 737-800 freighter fleet of 02 to 04 units of cargo in the 1st year with an expected doubling in the second year.

Finally, this agreement will make Vietnavel and ACG the first cargo airline in Vietnam, making the country a global leader in air cargo services.

“The aviation cargo market still has a lot of potential and is underutilized,” says Vu Duc Binh. With Vietnam, China, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Europe and America as the fastest growing region in the world with the highest annual GDP, the supply chain is broken.

“It has the highest working-age population in the world. Therefore, production bases will gradually move to this area from the world’s largest factory – China. According to the assessment, Vietnam is considered as a bright and potential candidate for production shift.

“This will be an opportunity for the logistics industry in general and air freight in particular to take off in the near future. Therefore, it is the right time to combine ACG’s experience in logistics and Viatravel Airlines to build and introduce the first air cargo unit in Vietnam.”

The representative of ACG added, “The goal of gathering and promoting the domestic and international logistics industry, especially the markets with great potential, is to bring companies in Vietnam to the international market.”

“Furthermore, the signing of a cooperation agreement with VietTravel Airlines is an unforgettable milestone, which has recently realized its dream of becoming a cargo airline in Vietnam.”

in general

In their first year of service to Vietnam’s aviation industry, VietTravel’s impressive start and winning the Asia’s Leading New Airline award shows a strong start for the carrier.

The awards ceremony saw a number of awards, with Singapore Airlines winning overall as Asia’s leading airline.

It is also exciting to see Vietnam starting to venture into the air freight industry and with its proximity to China, it is well positioned to grow air cargo globally.
