PENDLETON — Students in four programs at Tri-County Technical College now have a clear path to a four-year degree through an agreement with Lander University.
The transfer credit program, signed on April 12, will allow students to gain priority admission to associate four-year programs at Lander as juniors after receiving their associate’s degree from TCTC.
“We are proud to partner with Lander University to help our students achieve advanced degrees and promising careers in the high-demand fields of accounting, business administration, digital media production and early childhood education,” said TCCC President Glenn DeHay. he said.
TCTC’s Media Arts Production program transitions to Lander’s Digital Media Production degree, Early Child Care and Education transitions to Early Childhood Education, and TCTC’s Business Administration and Accounting programs transition to specific business administration degrees with different concentrations at Lander.
“Lander University has designed new academic programs and updated existing academic programs,” said Lander University Interim Provost Jim Colbert. “This agreement paves the way for our new pathways for Tri-County Technical College students.”
Tri-County tuition starts at $185.33 per credit hour for students in Anderson, Oconee or Pickens counties. One credit hour for an in-state student at Lander University is $488.
TCTC is a two-year college with more than 9,000 students at three locations in the Upstate. Lander University was founded in 1872 and offers four-year liberal arts and science degrees at its campus in Greenwood.
