CHICAGO – The University of Nebraska has won 14 school-record awards for future business leaders at the American-Fi Beta Lamda (FBLA-PBL) National Leadership Conference with Kerney students.

The annual conference in Chicago, June 24-27, will give FBLA and PBL members the opportunity to meet with colleges and universities across the country, participate in leadership workshops, and compete in events that test their business knowledge and skills. The top 10 actors at each event were recognized at the June 27 Awards.

Nine UNK students participated in the national conference, and at least seven in the top 10 in one event. With 14 total awards, UNK has won more national places than any other Nebraska school.

UNK has been awarded the Golden Stamp Award for recognition of FBLA-PBL goals for active participation in projects and programs.

Participants in the conference were Courtney Cox of Alliance, Olivia Lawles of Aura, Sydney Atkinson Bute, Madi Gates Kerney, Lexington Omar Sánchez, Spencer Joseph Hyatt, St. Paul Cody Sinarsky, Sirakus Megan Walman and Jackie. Of Wilber.

FBLA-PBL is the largest business and technical student organization in the world. He is committed to inspiring and developing the next generation of leaders by preparing the members of the College Division for professional development in the fields of business.
