Many users have reported seeing a welcome message when they access the Twitter platform, which reads, “Welcome to Twitter! This is the best place to see what’s happening in your world. Now search for some people and topics. This message typically appears to new users who are not following anyone on the forum. The app version of Twitter also featured a similar “let’s go” message that directed users to a list of suggested users to follow.
After users first encountered the welcome message when they opened the platform, they had trouble finding their feed posts on Twitter. They couldn’t actually see the posts of people they followed from within their profiles, and while users could still tweet from the account’s main page, there was no feed where they could see their own tweets. Twitter’s search feature was reportedly unreliable during this period.
Recently, Twitter laid off nearly 200 employees as part of CEO Elon Musk’s strategy to reduce operating costs at the social media company.
