Travel magazine names 3 Michigan hotels as the best in the Midwest

Mackinac Island, Mich. (FOX 2) – Three Michigan hotels are the best in the Midwest, according to Travel + Leisure.

The travel magazine asked readers to share their experiences and rate the hotels to collect 10 of the best resort hotels.

The Hotel Walloon in Lake Walloon, Mich. was ranked third, the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island was ranked 6th, and the Hotel Iroquois on Mackinac Island was ranked 8th on the list.

Travel + Leisure named Mackinac Island the best island in the United States earlier this year. On that list, the magazine touched on several highlights of the island; Among them are the Fuji, the vehicle-free route and the Grand Hotel.
