You don’t need a physical home to feel at home. That’s the motto of NYC-based nomadic food blogger, Rebecca Dudak ( @veganbodegacat ), who built her own sealed teardrop trailer that allows her to take her show on the road. In this show’s scoop: Take a tour of Rebecca’s ultra-low-end mobile home!

Rebecca fondly refers to her trailer as “Peanuts.” She shares that she built a waterproof and weatherproof mobile home in 9 months and combined with her car, it meets all her needs.

“When I live in my trailer, I pack my life into three different boxes,” says Rebecca. These boxes are divided into categories of clothes, tools and hygiene products and emergency items. Beyond that, Rebekah carries a lunchbox to keep her food warm, and a collapsible pot to make hot water.

As for the trailer itself, it comfortably fits a queen mattress and is where Rebecca does most of her relaxing. “I usually use the trailer the same way you use your bedroom,” she explains. “It’s very comfortable in there, especially with the blankets and the beds. Think of it as a log cabin.

Rebecca’s sleeping arrangement consists of a small air mattress, a sleeping bag and two blankets. “There’s no need to overcomplicate things, and I think it’s convenient,” she says.

Peanut also contains a removable battery that allows Rebecca to operate electronic devices. It also has three fans and LED lights that use less electricity.

While Rebecca’s minimalist lifestyle may be radical to some, it feels right to her. In fact, he might be lucky. “Many years ago I started having these dreams every night of elephants with butterfly wings for ears and I thought it was really cool,” Rebecca shares. “So I got the tattoo on my arm, it’s really big, and then I looked at the meaning, and it basically means being so secure in yourself that you don’t need a physical home. And I feel that Peanut is the embodiment of those dreams.
