Geneva, Switzerland / Cape Town, SAEW The World Economic Forum has announced that more than 900 participants from 60 countries will participate in the 21st World Economic Forum in Cape Town, South Africa from 4-6 May 2011. The President of South Africa will host the talks, which will be attended by participants under the motto. From Vision to Action, Africa’s Next Chapter.
“Africa is ready to leave,” said Katherine Twidi, Africa director at the World Economic Forum. “Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the fastest growing regions in the world. The region is in the throes of an economic crisis and the international community is looking for opportunities for growth. The World Economic Forum in Africa will be an opportunity for key leaders. A place to explore opportunities
The World Economic Forum provides an opportunity for trade, government and civil society in Africa to explore the opportunities and threats facing the continent at this crucial time. The assembly has three main pillars. Shaping the role of Africa in a new reality; Promoting African New Development Champions; And Build a partnership for inclusive development.

The meeting will begin with a high-level interactive session to engage the African community and start the debate. Collaborative experience examines the region’s position on the new reality and identifies opportunities to expand, accelerate and sustain inclusive and investment-based growth.

Togolese President Fare Nassingbe is among the African heads of state who have confirmed their participation. Mozambique President Armando Emilio Gubuza; Tanzanian President Jakaya M. Kikwete; Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amlo Odinga; Gabon President Ali Bongo Ondimba; Morgan Tsvangirai, Prime Minister of Zimbabwe; And South African President Jacob G. Zuma.
Other top regional and international leaders in attendance include Kofi Annan, Secretary-General, United Nations (1997-2006); Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hailemariam Desalegn, Obiageli Katryn Ezekwesili, Vice President, African Region, World Bank, Washington DC; Donald Caberuka, African Development Bank (ADB), Tunisia; Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Sanusi Lamdo Sanusi; And some Sharmarke Indian Minister of Trade and Industry.
