On Tuesday, the ACC released the 2022 ACC Preseason Poll, which surveyed media expectations for Atlantic and Coastal Division teams. The poll was conducted by loyal media during last week’s ACC Football Kickoff in Charlotte, North Carolina. Atlantic Clemson is favored not only to win their division, but also to be the 2022 ACC Champions. Miami Beach is favored to take the Beach crown, followed by distant second-place Pittsburgh.
Virginia Tech has received three votes to claim the ACC Coastal Division crown by certified media. Their 592 polling points put them behind Miami (1,036), Pittsburgh (959), North Carolina (823) and Virginia (667). Miami Mario Cristobal and Virginia Tony Elliott. The Hokies are slated to finish 5th in the division in 2021 following a 6-7 record. The Hokies will play against Boston College, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Miami, NC State, Georgia Tech, Duke and Virginia for their 2022 ACC schedule. . In addition to playing every Coastal opponent, Boston College (No. 6 Atlantic) and NC State (No. 2 Atlantic) will be benchmarks for their out-of-class ACC foes.
