The focus of green fashion on the new Swiss clothing program

Industrial Associations Swiss Textile, Swiss Fair Trade and Ampori have launched a new joint garment program called ‘Sustainable Textiles Switzerland’ (STS 2030) which calls on all value chain stakeholders to work sustainably.

The Swiss Clothing Program is supported by the State Economic Affairs Office (SECO) and the Federal Office for Environmental Protection (FOEN). So far, the signatories include Transa Backpacking AG, Coop, PKZ Burger-Kehl & Co, Migros (including Mikasan), Rrrevolve and glore Schweiz GmbH. The brands on the board include Calida, Mammut Sportsgroup AG, Balsiger Textil AG (with Lavie and Journey Living), Holy Fashion Group (with Jeep !, Windsor and Strellson), Collective Mon Amor and Blue Sut.

At last month’s Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, delegates were told that it was important to work hard for lasting change.

A new European Fashion Alliance (EFA) has been launched with the recent launch of the Texan Textile and Textile trade shows aimed at promoting a rich, sustainable and comprehensive European fashion ecosystem.
