Another Caribbean island has officially lifted all travel health requirements for visitors, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.
Thanks to a decision by the French government this week, visitors to Martinique no longer need to prove a negative test or vaccination to enter the island.
In other words, traveling to Martinique is “like it was in 2019,” Martinique Tourism Authority Monique Macaire told Caribbean Journal.
This means you book your flight to Martinique and pop out, pre-pandemic style.
It’s a well-timed move for Martinique following the recent expansion of American Airlines flights to the island.
American Airlines operates four weekly flights between Miami and Martinique Ame Césaire International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Martinique is the latest in a growing group of destinations that require no screening or proof of vaccinations from travelers.
It includes destinations such as Jamaica, Grenada and the US Virgin Islands, among others.
