Hooray! Spring has sprung, which means it’s time to say goodbye to those bulky winter coats and embrace the season of high heels and fancy florals. Whether it’s walking in a blooming garden or being in a crisp nightgown, wardrobe maintenance is essential when the temperature starts to rise.

Stuck for spring fashion inspiration? Look no further than Queen Letizia of Spain, who – thanks to the country’s mild climate – is ruling the sartorial stakes with fun color-blocking, bright power suits and fun retro prints. Earlier this week, the 50-year-old former journalist turned go-to label boss looked like a tropical flower walking in a matching coral shirt and leather skirt ensemble. Queen Letizia finished her look with demure pumps from Carolina Herrera, showing off her ability to balance bright tones with understated neutrals.

Both the boss and Herrera are staples for the Spanish queen, who, like many members of the royal family, has accounts she returns to again and again (see: Princess of Wales by Alexander McQueen). But, unlike many of her European counterparts, Letizia is as often head-to-toe on the high street. When she does, it’s almost always either Zara or Massimo Dutti – both owned by Spanish fashion giant Inditex.

Queen Letizia will soon bring her pared-back glamor to London as she joins her husband – Spain’s tall, dark and handsome King Felipe VI – at the coronation of King Charles III. The dress code has not yet been revealed, but Letizia stands out among the congregation in Westminster Abbey. Until then, whet your shuratori curiosity and read on to discover the season’s best fall fashion looks so far.
