Saint Antonio – Stevens High School students and Good Will San Antonio are gearing up to host the second annual Festa Sustainable Fashion Show on Friday.

“Goodwill is about giving sustainability and items a second chance in the store and teaching this younger generation how important that is,” said Libby Castillo, director of strategic communications for Goville San Antonio.

For months, students have been searching and sewing for the scene.

“Ms. Donovan took her class to Potranco’s place and students were able to choose items specifically for the fashion show,” Castillo said.

The program allows students to gain hands-on experience in areas of fashion such as marketing, merchandising, display design, business management and customer service.

“The process was really fun and definitely had to be open in a lot of ways,” Stevens High School student Anna Roman said.

Roman is very excited about the fashion show and wants to continue learning about this industry after graduation.

“When I graduate, I plan to go into fashion design or fashion merchandising and small business,” she says.

The fashion show will be held Friday at Stevens High School starting at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public.

“I hope people enjoy it because we worked really hard,” Roman said.

Proceeds from the apparel sales will be reinvested in employment services and workforce development programs offered by Goodwill San Antonio’s Good Career Centers and Good Career Academy.
