Customers can avail some of the best offers and from some of the country’s famous cities

With summer officially a thing of the past, it’s time to look toward fall and winter. But since domestic flights aren’t always the best value, getting to some of America’s best cities isn’t always cheap.

Southwest Airlines takes off

Fortunately, Southwest Airlines has started a three-week sale on flights through the end of summer. With some flights as low as $59, there’s never been a better time to get great value for your money. But anyone looking to grab the deal will have to move relatively quickly as the sale is only for the next three weeks. While most of the flights are domestic, there are a few international routes as well.

But there are a few caveats for those buying tickets. All tickets must be purchased at least twenty-one days prior to departure and must be completed by October 3rd at 11:59 PM CT. There are a few tip dates – Thanksgiving and Christmas – when flights cannot be booked, such as November 17 through November 29, 2022 and December 16, 2022, through January 2, 2023.

Southwest check-in

Available flights run from October 3rd to February 15th, and almost all discounted flights are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It should be clear that any prices discussed are one-way fares.

The easiest way to scan for offers is to search using your nearest airport on this portal. The page details all possible flights and prices. Some of the more popular flights are Chicago to Nashville and Austin to New Orleans, both listed for $59. Most of the other $59 routes consist of short trips between regional cities, which can be useful for those who want to see friends or travel for work.

With flights from Austin to Boston as cheap as $93, travel to the Northeast is extremely affordable.

Denver, Colorado

Denver area residents can book a flight to the Canadian border in Bellingham for just $80 or to California for just $60. A trip to Niagara Falls via New York is only $110.

Chicago O’Hare has flights to Cancun for over $200, making for a sunny getaway for those a little worried about the cold. If more chill is desired, flights from Denver to Chicago are only $126 weekly.

Chicago downtown

Every California destination has flights to Hawaii for $138. Long Beach, Oakland, San Jose and San Diego are all included in these routes.

Surprisingly, Havana, Cuba, has plenty of activity for some super-affordable fares. Twenty-one US cities have flights to Cuba. Interestingly, while all routes are booked at $221, most are set at $201.

Cancun Skyline

Las Vegas, one of the most popular cities in America these days, has a huge number of flights listed on sale, with extremely cheap fares for short jaunts from California. Almost all flights from Cali to Vegas are listed for $59 there and back, while additional destinations like Charlotte, Chicago or DC will see you around $150 each way.

Remember, the sale only lasts until October 3rd, so make sure to plan ahead for any future travel plans to help save money. Discount tickets are limited, so popular routes may sell out before the sale ends. All tickets can be booked on the Southwest portal listed above.
