Revolve chief brand officer Raissa Gerona turned 40 in style last week, jetting off to Lake Como with 44 of her nearest and dearest. Here, the shopping spree speaks The daily She talks about the milestone and what the new chapter means for her, including the lowdown on glam.

“I wanted a big celebration for my 40th because the road to 40 is the best and hardest time in my life, and I’m very happy for the next ten years,” Gerona said. “In my 30s, I sold two businesses, helped build a global brand, took a company public, became a mother to my beautiful daughter, and bought my dream home.

“There were so many amazing moments during the trip, but I have to say my favorite was greeting my friends and family at the beginning of my birthday celebration, before the sun went down,” Gerona said of the Italian trip. “The lighting was beautiful and all the guests were even more beautiful! Everyone had smiles on their faces, dancing to the live band, looking out over the beautiful lake. I knew it was going to be a great night!”

Choosing to come dressed in pink to welcome her guests, Gerona turned to REVOLVE Atelier for a custom chauffeur and dress. To match, her adorable 4-year-old daughter Dylan wore a bubblegum pink tulle dress from Tulle.

Also joining Gerona on the trip were her mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and nephews, as well as close friends like Revolve co-founder Michael Mente, influencers Amy Song, Chrisley Lim, Lily Maymack and Bernice. Kwok-Gabel, Jocelyn Chu, and DJ Marr.

A scene-stealing DundAS custom dress she wore for a big celebration, Gerona, “Peter and [his husband/business partner] As a super generous gift, Eve offered to make me one. When we started, it was only two weeks before I left for my trip. Peter and I had a conversation about what I wanted and he was able to design it right away. It’s a take on the jumpsuit Emily Ratajkowski wore at Cannes a few years ago. I thought the mini skirt version was perfect for me, and the long train and lace paired beautifully with the backdrop of Lake Como.

“I also love that the train is removable—great for dancing in the evening after dinner. We had a total of three fittings and the dress was made at the REVOLVE owned brand offices where we have an atelier studio in Downtown, Los Angeles. They finished just in time; A few hours before I go to the airport. The dress came out very nicely. It’s my dream dress!
