IGN exclusively premieres the first full trailer for the next series of the classic time travel show Quantum Leap, which premieres September 19 at 10pm on NBC and Peacock. It will also be released on Peacock. You can watch the trailer in the player above or in the embed below.

Set roughly thirty years after the events of the first series, physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee) is the next to find his team to restart the Quantum Leap Project and find out about the machine and its creator, the long-lost Dr. Sam Beckett (played by Scott Bakula in the first series).

According to the series’ official synopsis, “But everything changes when Ben makes an involuntary jump, leaving the team behind and unraveling the mystery of why he did it.” “Every time he jumps, it’s Addison (Kathleen Bassett) who appears as a hologram by Ben’s side, and only Ben sees and hears it. She is a polished Army veteran who brings a level-headed authenticity to her work.

Ghostbusters’ Ernie Hudson plays Herbert “Magic” Williams, described as a “no-nonsense career military man” who leads the secret operation. The headquarters team includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), who runs the artificial intelligence unit ‘Ziggy’, and Jane Chu (Nanrisa Lee), who heads digital security for the project.

Each episode of Quantum Leap sees Ben jump from life to life, correcting mistakes along the way, while the house team strives to solve the mystery behind Ben’s leap and bring him home – or lose him forever.
