With spring officially arriving tomorrow – can you believe it’s already March? – it’s only natural to incorporate the soft hues of blossoming flowers into your makeup. Pink and coral orange are perfect spring makeup colors to create subtle office looks or fun and eye-catching looks for after-work drinks.

Orange is a strong and optimistic color associated with summer, blossoming flowers, citrus fruits and beautiful sunsets. It’s energetic like yellow and red, and not commonly used in makeup, which makes it perfectly attention-grabbing.

Pink is the color of tender spring blossoms. This inspirational color symbolizes new beginnings, innocence and romance, and it’s often associated with sweetness, happiness and positivity. Together, the spring color combo of pink and orange makes a very balanced spring makeup look.

I named this look “Fresh Start” because spring is the season of new beginnings. What better time of year than now to transform yourself and start something new?

Fresh Start

Eyes: I’M MEME – Color Pattern Palette, # 001 Coral Pattern, # 002 Petal Pattern

For this look I used two of I’M MEME’s Color Pattern Palette, namely # 001 Coral Pattern for muted orange shades and # 002 Petal Pattern for cool-toned muted pinks. Both are light spring makeup palettes containing several tonal shades to choose from.

I used No. 7 from both palettes as they seemed to be the most pink and orange shades. The swatches showcase the colors exactly like they’d look on the eyelids.

For the upper lids, I used No. 7 from # 002 Petal Pattern which is a dusty regal muted pink. If you want something brighter, try #Las Coloradas, a vivid and glittery dusty rose from my favorite UNLEASHIA Glitterpedia No. 5.

Pink shades under the eye might make you look like you’ve just cried a river, so I suggest using orange color on the lower lids. The No. 5 from each palette is the corresponding glitter shade, which can be used to highlight the inner corner of your eyes and to underline the lower lid.

Lips: 3CE Slim Velvet Lip Color, #Snow Glass

I usually use cool-toned shades for the lips, but this time I wanted something deeper to create contrast with the subtle and muted colors of the eye shadow. 3CE’s Slim Velvet Lip Color has an impressive range of 15 vibrant colors, and I chose #Snow Glass for its versatility, depth and balance of cool and warm tones.
