Paul McCartney celebrates 80 years of love-loving fashion life
Famous musician and former Beetle Paul McCartney has always had a playful writing style. To celebrate his birthday on Saturday, we look back at his best fashion moments.
Although the former Beetle’s notable contribution to music may be known, Paul McCartney is also a good documentary writer. Thanks to the late photographer and musician Linda McCartney, the first wife of the musician, the sometimes beautiful and always-thin outfits worn by McCartney will go on forever – from long-sleeved Laple shirts to ruffled sweaters.
The life and time of the Liverpool star can be found in his device choices. From Beatlemania in the 60’s to the sleek dress and to his unique career – collections grew more colorful, bold and individual. Like the McCartney Premier, look at the 1973 James Bond movie “Live and Die”, which features a velvet cropped tuxedo jacket, bare chest and bow tie.
Everywhere was Makartney’s run – including the airport’s runway, where he was often photographed and taken out, with a purple-eyed boy sitting on his lap with aviator glasses or embroidered Western shirts. According to Linda, the musician avoided dressing when he left the stage and instead opted for a casual, country-inspired outfit full of fisherman’s sweaters, Wellington boots and flying jackets.
