PassiveLogic and PNNL Partner to Advance ML Tech for Building Autonomy

PNNL’s Autonomous Education and Research Group has initiated the PassiveLogic collaboration as a DOE tool to encourage public-private collaboration and advance technologies in the marketplace through a unique partnership called the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA). DOE will fund PNLL with $1 million to contribute to PassiveLogic technology.

The agreement allows PNNL and PassiveLogic to jointly develop and implement their capabilities and technology to enable energy systems in buildings, such as heating and cooling units and lighting, to become fully autonomous, identifying and solving their own operational problems.
