Paperwork suggests Donald Trump has resigned from the board of his ‘tech’ company; But the social truth says he still exists.

It’s no secret that Donald Trump’s Trump Media and Technology Group, which started with big plans, but until now, the largely underutilized social media app Truth Social, has been struggling. But then came the news that a Ponzi-scheme-esque reverse merger deal was leading to serious legal investigations, and perhaps Trump and some of his cronies decided that perhaps more “hands off” was best.

So, while Donald Trump himself was on TMTG’s board, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported that Trump himself and several of his entourage left the board last month before being subpoenaed. Comfortable, with an emphasis on that first session.

A total of six board members remain. In addition to Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Kash Patel (a former Nunes staffer with close ties to Trump) resigned from the board, along with Scott Glabe, Andrew Northvale and Wes Moss. Only two board members remain: Devin Nunes and Philip Juhan, the company’s CFO. In the filing, all six names are listed as “removed” from the board:

But when this story started making news, the social truth (both socially and especially true at times) said that Trump would remain chairman of the board.

That… doesn’t really clear things up. Maybe something else or a change in definition from just listing him as a director to listing him as chairman? But, again, it’s not your typical file.

Typically, when a board member leaves, a replacement is named or comes in soon after. It is rare to see multiple board members resign at once. Or at least to file that they left something out, even if others deny it.

It makes you wonder if Trump would move into a role where he mostly sells naming rights, like some of his businesses, but has little control over the actual business. Either way, it’s not the kind that inspires confidence that the officials know what they’re doing.
