The shaken fashionista said Hercules was scared behind his feet as he played with the attacking dog.

‘The owner started kicking her in the ribs,’ Ms Tridente told the Advertiser.

“He did this twice when I ran and when I asked him he grabbed Hersey by the collar and wouldn’t let go.”

When the man showed no signs of letting go of the puppy, the designer began yelling, hoping that another dog owner might help her.

‘I had to fight with him to free Hersey,’ she wrote on social media.

“It’s people like me who cause dogs to get hurt because of his size,” he yelled at me.

Ms Tridente said it was ‘terrifying’ to see her beloved puppy punched in the gut.

She quickly left the park, but not before telling dog owners in person and on social media what had happened so she could be safe.

The designer described the man as being in his 50s, with a thin build and short brown hair, wearing blue jeans and ‘flashy’ sunglasses.

Ms Tridente said the incident was particularly traumatic because the man refused to let Hercules go despite her pleas.

I want other owners to know. I go there almost every day, it’s a beautiful area, and there are always lots of beautiful people and dogs,’ she said.

Ms Tridente said she reported the incident to South Australian police.
