Mount Pleasant, SC – Bringing his epic home run hammer to the national spotlight on Sunday afternoon, No. 14 Virginia Tech’s baseball team slugged its first three home runs of the season in a 15-2 blowout of the College of Charleston to complete the team’s sweep. Season opener of the series at the ballpark at Veterans Point.
Taking a 4-1 lead against Virginia Tech (2-1) and scoring two runs in the fourth inning, the junior first baseman Eddie Eisert Charleston starter Aiden Hunter carried a 1-1 pin into right field for a two-run home run — his first in a Tech uniform since transferring from NC State.
