BLACKSBURG – On Friday, scoring 10 of its 13 runs on five home run swings, the No. 11 Virginia Tech baseball team cruised to an ACC-opening victory over the Hokies 13-3 at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park.
Carson DeMartini A three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning helped Virginia Tech (12-2, 1-0 ACC) break a 1-1 tie with Boston College (10-2, 0-1 ACC) and start a run in the top of the ninth. A winning streak. Jack Harley And Carson Jones DeMartini followed with a solo homer and another three-run shot, giving the Hokies a seven-run lead in the ballgame.

Owen DeShazo gave Boston College the last laugh, with a home run. Matthew Siverling to set up a 13-3 scoreline for the game.
