Shoppers are invited to help brighten the hallway with their own artwork

As the community prepares to go back to school, Niagara Falls USA fashion outlets are inviting shoppers of all ages to participate in the creation of a new community mural titled “Kindness is Fashion” in the windows. Introduction 3.

The mural will be open to the public from noon to 3pm on Saturday – and guests can leave their mark. Local artist Ali Price will be on hand to encourage guests to create a one-of-a-kind mural together, so no formal art experience is required.

“We saw this as a unique opportunity to get the local community, young and old, involved in creating something unique and beautiful here at Fashion Outlets,” said Susie Swiatkowski, marketing manager for Niagara Falls Fashion Outlets. We are very happy to lead the project. Her enthusiasm is so inspiring to young artists, and her artwork speaks volumes of community pride. We’re really looking forward to seeing how this wallpaper turns out.

The mural will be created with the theme of promoting unity, love and kindness to the Niagara community. All art supplies are provided.

While the kickoff event will take place this Saturday, Niagara Falls USA fashion outlets expect the finishing touches to ramp up in the coming weeks. The final mural is expected to be completed at the market in late August in time for the back-to-school event.

“Community walls are a wonderful way to bring people together. It is a project that combines creativity, education and inspiration. I’m excited to work with the kids to make this collaborative painting,” Price said. “If you’re at the market this weekend, stop by and add your personal touch to the wall. There is no better way to show the strength of the Western New York community than to come together and collaborate on a work of art that everyone can enjoy.

Speaking of kindness…

Mall goers and staff at Niagara Falls USA fashion outlets welcomed Lloyd the dog Wednesday morning. Lloyd resides at the Niagara County SPCA and is living a “bucket list” of activities while touching the hearts of animal lovers of Western New York.

They can be seen posing for selfies and donating pets, blankets and collars to Lloyd and his friends. Lloyd is pictured with Liz Marshall (pink shorts), director of events and marketing for the Niagara County SPCA.
