Absolutely not! The latest recognition from the experts at Travel + Leisure magazine is a reason to celebrate and something to be proud of – yes, even brag about.

“This Florida beach town is one of the best places to move in America,” says Travel + Leisure in its August edition and under the heading “Travel Ideas.”

According to the magazine, there are five reasons.

• The outbreak: With more people working remotely than ever before, Naples has become a prime destination for urbanites migrating from cities like Chicago and New York City. In fact, according to a US News survey, it now holds the title of safest place to live and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, attracting not only retirees but young couples as well.
• Low density: Compared to other Florida cities on the other side of the state, like West Palm Beach, Naples is easy to get around.
• Airport Access: Naples Municipal Airport is only a 10-minute drive from the city center and is also known for receiving private jets and charter flights.
• Shopping and Dining: Naples has some of the best restaurants not only in the country, but in the world. and Fifth Ave. South and Waterside shops are home to some great designer shopping.
• Hot Real Estate Market: According to Travel + Leisure, in 2021 Naples had the highest sales per capita of any mid-sized market in the United States, and the median home price rose $200,000 year-over-year (up 30%). In June 2022, the median home price in the city was $739,000.
