Michigan Tech goalie Blake Pietila won his seventh CCHA Goalie of the Week honor, while Lake Superior State, Bemidji State and another Tiger player were recognized for their play over the weekend.

Lakers senior Louis Beaudon (Grenoble, France) had a goal and three assists to win Forward of the Week as Lake Superior State swept Ferris State. He finished with six goals and had two assists in a 3-2 win on Friday and a goal and another assist in Saturday’s 4-2 win.

Bemidji State senior forward Elias Rosen had four points and three assists from Sweden Mora as the Beavers split with St. Thomas. The CCHA’s second four-point night in Saturday’s contest earned the blueliner Defensive Player of the Week honors this season.

Pattila, a senior from Howell, Michigan, went 1-1-0 with a CCHA-best 1.52 goals-against average and .958 save percentage against Tech over the weekend against Minnesota State, going 3-3 with 33 saves Saturday. MacNaughton Cup champion decided 2 losses. He posted his nation-leading ninth shutout in a 2-0 win on Friday.

With two goals to lead all rookie skaters, Tech’s Kyle Kukonen of Maple Grove, Minnesota was named Rookie of the Week. He scored the eventual game-winner in the Tigers’ 2-0 win over the Mavericks on Friday and scored the game-tying short-handed goal in their eventual loss to Minnesota State on Saturday.
